Since the mid of the 20th century, Baku took upon the role of being the jazz capital of the former USSR. The specific flavor of Baku and Azeri jazz was its oriental touch. Mixture of jazz and mugham - a national Azeri music, makes Baku jazz to stand out.
Vagif Mustafazadeh, Aziza Mustafazades, Rafig Babayev, Tofig Guliyev, Parviz Rustambayov, Tofig Ahmadov - these are just a few names out of the long list of prominent musicians who made a big input into the development of Baku jazz.
For your consideration, I created a small project www.bakujazz.net, which contains mp3-s of the most famous Baku and Azeri jazz musicians. At the moment, I am working on updating and expanding the archive.
Yet another great sample of vocal blues by Junior Wells. I heard this song in many variations by many artists, but Wells made it sound just right to the point. - I’ll take care of your (mp3, 9.7mb)

Luther Allison
Born in Widener, Arkansas in 1939, Luther Allison (the 14th of 15 musically gifted children) first connected to the blues at age ten, when he began playing the diddley bow (a wire attached by nails to a wall with rocks for bridges and a bottle to fret the wire). His family migrated to Chicago in 1951, and Luther began soaking in the sounds of Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson, and Robert Nighthawk. He was classmates with Muddy Waters’ son and occasionally stopped in the Waters’ house to watch the master rehearse. It wasn’t until he was 18 already in Chicago for seven years that Luther began playing blues on a real guitar and jamming with his brother Ollie’s band. More >>>
This is one of his ETERNAL blues must have songs.
Very much advised: Luther Allison - Lightning Bolt (mp3, 11.4mb)
Our creative director forwarded showreel of Autodesk to me. This is an amazing compilation of Autodesk works. Special effects just freeze your mind.

В последнее время остро не хватает времени писать что либо. В точности как лет 10 назад, было предложено измерять время в выкуренных сигаретах, предлагаю писать посты в mp3-шках. Музыка вообще более точно и быстрее показывает настроение.
и так:
The song of the day - Maybe tomorrow by Stereophonics. Recently finished “Chaos Theory” - a book that Elnur gave me, quite accidently by the way. It is one of those WOW books, a must read paradigm shifting piece full of revolutionary ideas and mind shivering thoughts.
